Groundhog predicts Super Bowl winner. Who did he pick?
- Updated: January 2, 2014
The 2014 Super Bowl will have a couple firsts. It is the first time the Super Bowl is being played in a cold-weather city. It is also the first time the Super Bowl will be played on Groundhog Day. Given that it will take place on the so-called holiday, what would be the best way to prepare for the event? In steps Clover the groundhog. As a New Jersey native, the Turtle Back Zoo asked Clover’s opinion (when we say “asked” we mean they put treats in front of football helmets”) as to who will be representing the AFC and NFC in the 2014 Super Bowl. Without hesitating Clover picked the Kansas City Chiefs to defeat the New Orleans Saints. Not only did Clover pick the Super Bowl winner, he also picked it to be a warm sunny day for football. Considering these are two teams that both had fast starts to the season and limped in to the playoffs, Kansas City going 2-5 in their last seven games and New Orleans losing three of their last five, if Clover is to nail this prediction he would have to be coined the Nostradamus of the animal kingdom. Check out Clover’s process for predicting the winner below.
